General

1. Admissions in MBBS and BDS at Avicenna Medical & Dental College are governed by PMDC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admission, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2023 notified 13^th July, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

2. Applicants should have at least 60% marks in FSc / A-Levels or equivalent qualification and at least 55% marks in MDCAT for MBBS and at least 50% marks in MDCAT for BDS. Foreign Students and Overseas Pakistanis may apply on having at least 550 marks in SAT-II or 50% marks in foreign MCAT or UCAT. (MDCAT 2024 candidates are also eligible to get admission in the session 2025).

Merit Criteria

3. The calculation of merit for MBBS and BDS candidates shall be formulated with following components each carrying separate weightages as follows:

1. 1. Matric / O-Levels 10%
   2. FSc / A-Levels (Electives) 40%
   3. MDCAT 50%

When to Apply

4. Admissions are opened by the University of Health Sciences for MBBS and BDS under central induction policy. The candidates can apply online and check information about dates of application and date of closure of admissions on UHS website uhs.edu.pk.

Display of Merit Lists

5. The merit lists for MBBS shall be displayed in the month of January, 2026 and for MBBS and in February 2026 for BDS on the University of Health Sciences website.

Offer and Submission of Fees

6. The candidates in the merit lists shall be offered admissions as per the merit lists issued by the University of Health Sciences. Candidates in the merit list shall have 3 days to deposit the fees at College Campus in form of Demand Draft, Pay Order or Bankers Cheque.

Submission of Documents

7. At the time of admission. The candidate shall be asked to submit the original results / certificates of Matric/O-Levels, FSc/A-Levels (attested by IBCC) and Domicile. 01 set of copies of following documents shall be required:

   2. CNIC (student and parent/guardian)
   3. Passport / Visa (Foreign Students Only)
   4. Domicile
   5. MDCAT Result
   6. Matric / O-Level Result / Certificate (ORIGINAL Attested by IBCC)
   7. FSc / A-Levels Result / Certificate (ORIGINAL Attested by IBCC)
   8. Migration Certificate for Board (for candidates having FSc from other than BISE Lahore)

8. The original documents shall be returned after the registration by PMDC / UHS after admission or on refund / cancellation of admission. Candidates with FSc from outside Punjab shall provide their original migration certificate from their Intermediate Board for onward submission to the University of Health Sciences.

10. Fees shall be deposited at College Campus in the form of Demand Draft, Pay Order or Banker’s Cheque. 4% discount is given on tuition fee on making full payment. The beneficiary details are as follows:

Cancellation of Admission / Refund of Fees

11. A candidate after securing admission may apply for cancellation of admission and refund of fees as per PMDC Admission Regulations 2023 Section 9(7). A candidate seeking refund shall submit a written application on a Stamp Paper at the college admissions office. The application shall be processed in 10 days after the submission. Following is the criteria and schedule of refund of fees:

Upgradation

12. The candidates who secure admission at Avicenna Medical & Dental College shall submit an undertaking at college admissions office on the UHS prescribed form whether they want to get upgraded in the next list or not. Upgradation shall be as per lists of UHS and the College has no control over the upgradation process.

13. In case a candidate is upgraded, the Avicenna Medical & Dental College shall transfer full fee to the next college and the candidate may give the joining in the next college immediately. Similarly, if a student is upgraded to Avicenna Medical & Dental College from another college, the student shall give joining in writing within the due date and his / her fee shall be received from the other college which the student upgraded from. Failure to give joining within the due date shall result in cancellation of admission and the student shall be entitled for a full refund upon receipt of fees from the other college.

Closure of Admissions

14. The admissions for MBBS and BDS shall close on dates prescribed by the University of Health Sciences on their website uhs.edu.pk

Commencement of Classes

15. The classes for MBBS shall commence from first week of February 2026 and BDS from first week of March 2025 or as specified by the University of Health Sciences.

Student Registration

16. The students shall be entered on PM&DC College portal at the time of their admission. The name of the student will not be removed from the portal after the last date of admission despite the application for refund.
